Snow - A Gentle, Resilient Explorer With a Heart of Gold

Snow is a beautiful one-year-old boy with soft white fur, a sweet spirit, and a remarkable ability to adapt. His early life on the streets was difficult. When he first appeared at his rescuer’s home as a kitten, he had some eye discharge but it looked manageable so we monitored. He navigated the world so well that no one suspected anything. Then, he vanished for several months, only to reappear during one of our TNR projects. That’s when we realised... one eye had deteriorated and needed removal, and the remaining eye had very limited vision.

Despite everything, Snow has never lost his love of life. He adores the outdoors - sunbathing in the sunlight, sniffing the breeze, and enjoying the sounds and scents around him. He learns spaces quickly and gains confidence once he has mapped out his world. Independent, curious, and surprisingly resourceful, he thrives when he has safe freedom to explore.

Because of his impaired vision, Snow cannot have open outdoor access. He needs a secure, cat-proofed garden or a catio. Or he can live perfectly happily as an indoor-only cat with the right enrichment. He adapts fast, but he must be able to explore safely.

Snow can be guarded at first. Any sudden touches startle him, and he needs you to speak gently so he knows you’re near. But once he trusts you, he welcomes affection with warmth and tenderness. Around familiar cats, he becomes affectionate, sociable, and confident.

Snow is a special boy who has survived the odds with quiet resilience. With a patient, understanding adopter and a safe environment, he will blossom beautifully - offering love, companionship, and the sweetest gentle presence.
