If you share our love for animals and believe no cat should suffer, there are many ways you can support the rescue, treatment, and rehoming of our cats.

ECM is an entirely not-for-profit organisation, run 100% by volunteers. None of our team is paid - in fact, many of us contribute our own time and resources to keep ECM going. We rely completely on your donations and the generosity of volunteers to provide a lifeline for cats in need.

Your support truly makes a difference. Whether by becoming a foster and freeing up crucial rescue space, gifting essential items through our Amazon Wishlist, sharing our posts on social media, or donating towards ever-growing vet and care costs - every action helps us continue our fight for better animal welfare.

Read on to discover the different ways you can support stray and rescue cats today.

Make a donation

The quickest and easiest way to help, is to donate.

Whether that’s just a few pounds here and there or setting up a monthly or annual contribution, it all helps us to pay our mounting veterinary bills, supports our Trap, Neuter, Release (TNR) programme, helps buy much needed food, litter, medicines and supplies and also maintains our website and many other administrative and incidental costs that are crucial to our operations.

100% of funds go directly towards helping cats, and the humans in our organisation are all unpaid volunteers, working in their free time to give cats a brighter future.

£50 TNR Campaign

Trap, Neuter and Release (TNR) is the most effective, and humane way of controlling a stray cat population. By dealing with the issue at source, it stops the breeding cycle, therefore improving the quality of the cats’ lives and preventing more from suffering. We can then pool our precious resources into helping those that really need it and ensure that colony sizes are controlled and do not negatively impact communities.

The cost of neutering cats varies, as the type of surgery needed depends on the sex of the cat and additionally, if a female cat is in the early stages of pregnancy. Working with our trusted veterinary practices in the UAE, we ensure that our TNR cats are thoroughly looked after while in our care, health checked and returned to their colony with minimal disruption to their wellbeing.

By donating a one-off amount of £50, you are guaranteeing that one stray cat will benefit from ECM’s TNR Campaign. Saving them from future diseases, territorial fighting and struggling to feed and nurture young in a harsh an unforgiving climate.

Word of Mouth

Recommendations are powerful. Did you know that word of mouth is up to 10x more effective than our own advertising? And 88% of consumers are more likely to engage in a product if their friends recommend it? You can make a difference!

If you have adopted a cat with us, fostered, or even if you just believe in and champion our cause – shout about it! Share our Social Media posts, leave a comment, hit ‘like’ and tell your friends, family and neighbours. If we rehome even one more cat through word of mouth – that is one more cat saved from a life of suffering into a life of love – thanks to you.
