Every Cat Matters has helped me more than they will ever know.

After approaching a number of local rescues in the hope of adopting indoor cats, I was advised that I was unlikely to be considered because I planned to keep them indoors. Given how many cats currently need loving homes in the UK, this really took me by surprise.

After doing some research, I found Every Cat Matters. As soon as I submitted my application, I was contacted by the wonderful SK, who took the time to talk through everything with me and helped find the perfect bonded pair for my circumstances.

My situation was not completely straightforward, as I was waiting for my move-in date. However, SK and their lovely fosterer, Jade, kindly agreed to wait until I was settled in my new home. The whole process was smooth, thoughtful and respectful for everyone involved.

I am now lucky enough to have the two cutest, chattiest little boys guarding my house—and in return, they will have all the food, love and care in the world....hehehe.

It was clear from the photos and videos Jade sent that they had been so well cared for in foster. Their confidence, affectionate nature and chatty little personalities show just how much love they received before coming home.

I cannot thank everyone at Every Cat Matters enough for helping to pair me with my beautiful little boys.

I contacted them about Vini, an older stray cat who had been living outside locally for a long time and was being cared for by members of our community. He had recently tested positive for FIV and also had dental and other health concerns, and we wanted to find somewhere safe for him where he could receive the care he needed.

Every Cat Matters responded with such kindness, compassion and genuine determination to help. They found Vini a wonderful foster home incredibly quickly and arranged for him to receive the veterinary assessment, treatment and ongoing care he needs.

What I particularly appreciated was the way the team worked with everyone involved in Vini’s care. They communicated with both my neighbours, who had been looking after Vini locally, and myself, answered our questions, kept us informed and were incredibly kind and supportive throughout the whole process. It really felt like everyone was working together with the same goal of giving Vini the best possible future.

Vini is now safely in his foster home with a wonderful foster carer, and I honestly could not have hoped for a better person to look after him. I have had the opportunity to speak with her, and it is incredibly reassuring to know that Vini is safe, warm and with someone who already has experience caring for an FIV-positive cat.

What has impressed me most about Every Cat Matters is how much they genuinely care about the individual animals they help, as well as the people involved in caring for them. The compassion and dedication behind this charity really comes through.

I am incredibly grateful to everyone at Every Cat Matters, Vini’s foster carer, my neighbours and everyone else who has played a part in helping him. Small animal rescues do extraordinary work, and organisations like Every Cat Matters deserve all the support they can get. They are a shining example of what an organisation who helps animal should be.

Lovely experience. From adoption application to welcoming the flooff home and beyond, ECM have been patient, understanding and committed to matching us with the perfect cat, ensuring their safe transportation to our home and offering support while our fur baby settles in.

Every Cat Matters has been incredible from start to finish and we have been incredibly fortunate to have found our little Yoyo to be loved by us.
The amount of work and love that the team put into each adoption is admirable and inspiring- they truly care about all the cats and kittens finding their forever homes.

I had a great experience with Every Cat Matters. They were so supportive throughout the entire adoption process. Their communication was excellent, with regular updates that really helped us feel informed and reassured as our cat travelled. Even after the adoption, they checked in to make sure she had settled in well. It’s clear they really care about the cats and the families they give homes to! Also, huge shout out to the fosterer's who also do an amazing job!

The process from first making contact with ECM has been easy and thorough. No stone is left unturned. I applied for Zaatar and spent time talking to SK his foster mum and ECM Trustee. I completed a comprehensive form and had a video call where we had the chance to go through things and meet the man himself. They then went away to ensure we were paired correctly before agreeing to my adopting him.
Everything since has been Smooth sailing, I’ve been kept updated with everything and received videos and pictures of him prior to his journey.
We were updated of his vet care, boarding the plane, the journey over here and his time in the x processing centre at Heathrow by the ECM team. They arranged his transport and kept in touch every step of the way until he arrived home.
The team are genuinely interested and caring about these cats getting their perfect, forever home! They love them and are super invested in getting it right. I have felt able to ask anything and truly appreciate how they still ask how he’s doing.
I recommend using these guys if considering adopting a cat. Zaatar arrived healthy, confident and clearly well loved as SK had told me! Great process and so glad I found them as I now have my perfect boy

What a fantastic process. Having come from the UAE only a few years ago as expats back to the UK with our two Mau’s that eventually passed after 17 long years, we did not expect to find our selves adopting from the UAE again. Process is seamless. We were kept up to date the whole way through. The kitten was socialized, in good health and incredibly friendly which is a testament to the care they’ve received from a young age. From the moment I submitted an enquiry about my gorgeous goofball Popcorn, the ECM team have been fantastic, their kind, informative and loving attitude to the cats in their care blew me away.

The process was thorough (because they really care about what happens to the cats they have saved from a horrendous life on the streets) but so smooth. RJ was brilliant at keeping me informed along the way. The updates, photos and videos meant we got to know the cats a little before they left and we knew exactly where our new fur babies were during their travel and the collection process was so easy.

The after adoption support and communication has been second to none. Noleen, his fosterer has done the most amazing job turning a tiny 7 week old street kitten with a terrible eye infection into the most adorable loving cat. Thank you all for saving my boy and giving him the chance to live out his best life in a world of love and comfort rather than fear and hunger.

Popcorn (now Loki) has settled really well is already a playmate for my youngest cat and snuggle buddy for not just us but my older cats too. He’s such a character (hence the name!) and does nothing but make us smile everyday.

We have adopted two shy cross-eyed boys from ECM, and their case worker, SK, has been so helpful and frankly amazing throughout the process. Unfortunately one of them sustained an eye injury along the journey, and due to their nature we struggled at first to administer the drops. Thankfully, SK understood our struggles, and has was so understanding and helpful, even from across the seas!

We were sent regular updates from the minute we were accepted, and provided support and encouragement every step of the way!

We adopted our sweet Pebbles from ECM just before Christmas, and we couldn’t be happier with him completing our family and with the entire adoption process. The application form and home video check were easy and straightforward, and communication throughout was excellent. Pebbles’ personality was described perfectly, and the team made sure we were the perfect match for him and his needs. When my old cat died, I started to look for a rescue cat rather than buy a kitten! I saw Gavin online and fell in love with his cheeky face, however I was a bit dubious about applying for a cat outside of the uk! ECM made the process really easy and pleasant though!! They kept in touch throughout, sending me photos and updates and we got Gavin in a relatively short space of time! He really is a naughty, cheeky little monkey, but also so loving and purry! We've adopted two cats now from ECM, several years apart. Our first boy Cyrus was a young adult boy who had a rough time. When we got him, he was very loving straight away, and over time has become the best cat you could ever ask for.

Recently, we adopted Phoenix after her extremely rough start to life. She is now the most loving kitten I've probably ever had.

Cyrus was already in the UK, whereas Phoenix was still overseas, so each process was different, however both were just as easy. Communication was great both times, and even to this day.

ECM genuinely cares about each of their rescues, and likes to make sure they go to the best homes, and even keep in touch, love seeing pictures, hearing stories, and offer any help of advise where possible.

The amazing work they do literally saves lives (mostly the cats, but the humans too when they get their new babies)

We have continued to support them since we first got Cyrus, and we will support them as much, and as long as possible. Even sharing content to raise awareness helps if you can't afford to donate, so we encourage everyone to do what they can.

More importantly, adopt these fur babies, because they've had the love, care and attention they needed to get this far, so now it's up to us to complete that journey.
