Fig
Fig - Just Wants to Belong
Fig is a gentle, affectionate boy who is believed to have been abandoned after suddenly appearing at a feeding station maintained by his rescuer. Frightened and unsure at first, it didn't take long for him to realise that kindness existed. Soon, he began following his rescuer back to her car, crying as she left and often choosing human company over the food that had been put out for him.
Life on the streets was not easy for Fig. He was regularly bullied by other cats and even suffered a painful bite wound that required veterinary treatment. Knowing how trusting he had become, his rescuer feared for his safety and when a space opened up in foster care, decided it was finally time to bring him indoors.
Since then, Fig has settled beautifully into his foster home. He lives alongside many other cats and gets on wonderfully with them all, although a quieter home would allow his personality to shine even more. He loves gentle play sessions with wand toys, springs, and toy mice, enjoys soft little chats with his foster mum, and is happiest when curled up beside his people or feline friends for a cosy nap.
Fig would thrive in a calm, loving home with one or two friendly, easygoing cats and adopters willing to give him a little time to settle. In return, they will discover a sweet, loyal companion who simply wants to feel safe, loved, and part of the family.
