Liquorice

Liquorice – A gentle soul learning to trust again

Liquorice’s story started by growing up in a street colony, where they all were fed and watered by a local lady, until a car accident in January 2026 left him with some internal bruising and injuries. During his time indoors, while he made a complete recovery - and beneath his shy exterior - a softer, more curious side slowly started to emerge.

Naturally timid, Liquorice is still learning that the world can be a safe place. Sudden movements and loud environments can startle him, so he needs a calm, patient home where he’s given the time and space to build trust at his own pace. This isn’t a cat who will rush into your arms, but for the right person, watching his confidence grow is incredibly rewarding.

As he settles, his personality gently shines through. He enjoys playful moments, a bit of harmless mischief, and loves curling up in soft, cosy spots. He finds comfort in other cats and would benefit from a friendly, confident feline companion to cohabit. One of his favourite things is simply sitting quietly and watching the world go by, taking everything in from a place of safety.

Liquorice has adapted beautifully to indoor life and is ready for a home that will continue to nurture his journey. With patience, understanding, and kindness, he will blossom into a deeply loyal and loving companion - the kind whose trust feels truly special once it’s earned.
