Nova - A tiny survivor with a radiant spirit

Nova’s start in life was heartbreakingly fragile. Born to an older mama and into difficult circumstances, she lost both her mother and two of her siblings far too early. Only she and her little brother Bo made it through those first uncertain weeks.

When Nova was found, she was extremely underweight and very unwell. She was battling severe flu, a persistent eye infection, and signs of neurological weakness. Her left eye was underdeveloped, and for a time she struggled even with the basics - often unable to eat without support and needing intensive care just to stabilise. Her recovery was slow, delicate, and far from certain. But Nova showed extraordinary resilience. Around a month into her journey, she began to respond, to strengthen, and little by little, she came back to life.

Today, Nova is a bright, playful, and deeply affectionate young girl. She navigates her world beautifully through her right eye (which vets have confirmed she has good vision), and her condition doesn’t hold her back in the slightest. Her left eye remains underdeveloped, but it is simply part of her story - not a limitation and veterinary advice has been to leave it rather than remove.

Nova is full of personality. She has the sweetest little voice, a curious and observant nature, and a gentle, loving way about her that’s impossible to miss. She enjoys playtime, explores confidently, and has the most endearing habit of grooming both her humans and her feline friends. She forms strong bonds and shows affection in soft, heart-melting ways.

She has already captured many hearts from the rescue team, and it’s easy to see why. Nova isn’t just a survivor; she’s a shining example of how much strength, love, and joy can grow from the most difficult beginnings.
