Zazu - a little tuxedo with a big story

Zazu’s journey hasn’t been the easiest, but his heart has always been soft and full of potential.

Rescued as a 5-month-old kitten with painful dental issues, he spent his early months not only healing physically, but slowly learning that the world could be safe again. Because of this start, Zazu can be shy and a little wary when first meeting new people, he’s not the kind of cat who rushes in for attention. But with time, patience, and kindness, his true personality begins to shine through.

Once Zazu feels secure, he becomes a wonderfully sweet, affectionate boy who genuinely wants connection. He just needs to feel safe enough to show it. One of his most beautiful traits is his gentle, nurturing nature with kittens. He adores them, often grooming, playing, and keeping them close, almost like a proud little big brother. This is where he feels most confident and at ease.

Zazu can be intimidated by more dominant or assertive cats, and we suspect he may have had difficult experiences with other cats in the past. Because of this, he would thrive in a calm home with gentle, non-dominant feline companions, or ideally with kittens he can bond with and care for.

As he settles, Zazu’s playful and curious side begins to emerge. He enjoys wrestling games, soft strokes along his back, and is very treat-motivated, which helps him build trust and confidence. He is not an instant lap cat, but rather a 'slow bloom' companion, one who gradually, quietly, and deeply earns his place in your heart.
