Zazu & Teo - Give Them Time and They’ll Give You Trust

Zazu and Teo are two gentle boys who have both had difficult beginnings, and both have needed a little extra time to learn that the world can be a safe place.

​

Zazu was rescued at just five months old with painful dental problems and signs of neglect. Teo arrived a few months later as a tiny kitten with a badly burned paw and anaemia. Their early lives were filled with treatment, recovery and learning to trust again.

Today, they are both happy, healthy boys with very different personalities.

Zazu is the more confident of the two. He can be a little cautious with new people, but once he feels safe, his sweet and playful personality really comes through. He is quirky, chatty and wonderfully food-motivated, and treats are definitely the way to his heart! Zazu loves playing, wrestling and exploring, and he particularly enjoys gentle affection and being stroked along his back. He also has a wonderfully nurturing side and has always had a special softness towards kittens.

Teo is the quieter and more sensitive soul. He can find human interaction overwhelming at first and is much more comfortable taking his time and watching from a safe distance. Around other cats, however, his confidence really shines. He is playful, curious and enjoys having feline companionship around him. With patience, consistency and a calm environment, Teo has the potential to blossom beautifully.

Neither boy is an instant cuddle cat. They are both the kind who need someone willing to let trust develop naturally rather than expecting everything on day one. But once they feel safe, there is so much personality waiting to emerge.

They would both benefit from calm, understanding adopters who can read feline body language, respect their boundaries and give them the time they need to settle. Zazu and Teo have both come a long way already, now they simply need someone willing to see the lovely cats underneath their initial shyness and give them the chance to flourish.
